Mahindra Inaugurates New Dealership Showroom on Main Automotive Street of Dubbo, NSW

Australia, September 2016: Mahindra Automotive Australia, part of the US $17.8 billion Mahindra Group, recently inaugurated Mahindra Dubbo RV Centre, its first dealership in Dubbo’s ‘Auto Alley’ of Bourke Street. This will be in addition to Mahindra’s first Automotive Dealership at Narromine, Australia.

Aside of the full range of Mahindra vehicles and selected second-hand vehicles, Dubbo RV Centre will also display caravans, making it a one-stop shop for recreational, four-wheel-drive and commercial vehicles. The new outlet will give the Mahindra brand a whole new level of mainstream visibility in the Orana Region along with a main frontage to the highway, similar to other brands in the market.

Speaking at the inauguration Dealer Principal Robert Handsaker, “I am delighted at the inauguration of this state of the art Mahindra dealership in one of the main auto districts of the city. Narromine is 3500 people, Dubbo is 45,000 and hence this bigger base will give us much more exposure to the product. Since we are in Bourke Street, where all the other main dealerships and the big brands are, it will add to the advantage. This new dealership will give a lot of exposure to Mahindra products locally.”

Robert further added, ““The strong and robust make of Mahindra vehicles coupled with its reliability will help us drive sales. It is the affordability that gets people for the test drive, but what invariably sells is the reliability, the capability and the pleasure of driving. Mahindra vehicles are a full package and I am sure it will be popular with the consumers. While traditionally the Mahindra vehicles have been popular for agricultural use, more recently we have seen a substantial following amongst the traders with the Genio and that is a growing market.”

According to Russell Thiele, National Sales Manager MAAPL “Our dealer network is of great importance to us here at Mahindra, and we are really proud of the growth that Handsaker Mahindra has had in regional NSW.”

Mahesh Kaskar, National Manager MAAPL: “We are excited about the expansion into Dubbo and the location advantage that this new Mahindra dealership and showroom will offer to our existing and new customers.”

The introduction of the Automatic Transmission in the XUV500 is an important addition in the medium SUV segment, which is one of the most heavily contested segments of the market. Further the high end features of the XUV500 and its competitive pricing make it a popular choice over its nearest competitors. Further all Mahindra vehicles feature a leading 3 year / 100,000 kilometre warranty with free roadside assistance and 3 year Capped Price Servicing, see www.mahindra.com.au for details.

Robert Handsaker was the first to have a Mahindra dealership in Australia in 2007 – Robert Handsaker Mahindra at Narromine. Mahindra Dubbo RV Centre is located conveniently at 43 Bourke Street, Dubbo, and is open from July 1, 2016.
