New Mahindra Compact Tractors launch January 2016

Ten years ago the largest tractor manufacturer in the world, opened their Australian operation in Brisbane with just 6 models, four built in Mahindra’s Mumbai Tractor factory [4530/5500/6500/7520] and two built by Mitsubishi Machinery Agricultural Co. Ltd in Japan (2015/3015).

Fast forward to 2016 where Mahindra maintains number 1 position globally and has attained the third highest tractor sales by horsepower in the USA market. Mahindra Ag and Auto Australia is proud to announce the introduction of two new models from the same, and now company owned, Japanese factory.

Built in the newly named Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co. Ltd factory in Japan, reflecting Mahindra’s share of ownership of the factory, the new 34 HP 8×8 Synchro Shuttle 1533 and 38 HP Hydrostatic 1538 arrive to compete in one of the toughest segments of the market.  The 30-50HP segment has been very successful for Mahindra in 2015 on the back of the launch of the 41HP 4025 4WD Tractor in February 2015.  “We’re suitably exciting to be re-entering the 30-35HP segment of the market with two excellent products built in our Japanese factory, after a brief hiatus in 2014 with the last 3316 units being retailed that year” says Satish Chandra – National Sales Manager AG for Mahindra Australia.

“The nice thing for the market to know is that we are the factory, we are 100% owned by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd [US$16.9 Billion Global Group] and importantly for our customers we offer three year, 2000 hour powertrain warranty standard on all of our Tractors, for no additional fee.” Says Stephen Bird, National Aftersales Manager AG – Mahindra Australia.  “Our parts warehouse is located in Brisbane for central access to the East Coast of Australia and our network of 48 Ag dealers across the country is ready and prepared to support our customers’ needs as they grow.  “You can’t beat factory support!”

The new Mahindra 1533 and 1538 are built around the customer experience and offer ecofriendly Tier IV engines, convenience like tilt steering column, spacious and semi-flat operator platform with rubber mat, hood opening completely for ease of access and ergonomic controls for operator comfort.  Where most of the market is offering 35/36 HP Mahindra has decided to offer high horsepower in 38HP hydrostatic guise (1538), which enables customers to get in and do the hard stuff, for similar value as the competition.     The 34 HP full synchro shuttle (1533) hits the market at the more traditional horsepower point with easy to use forward reverse shuttle and a great price.  The important thing is these tractors are the size that small acreage owners are looking for but built with the same strength that the more utility focused 4025 4WD offer.

Both 1533 and 1538 small tractor models offer Factory Self-Level Loaders, 4in1 buckets, Backhoe, finishing mowers, slashers, and carryalls as optional accessories.  The 1533 and 1538 complete the strong range of Mahindra Small Tractors and sit between the eMax22 and eMax25TLB, and the larger 4025 2WD/4WD and 5035 4WD Mahindra Compact Tractors.

The standout feature on the new Mahindra 1533 and 1538 Tractors is the Safe Working Load of 300kgs for the self-level loader.  “This gives customers in the hobby space a true feed out tractor for their small animals, without having to pay the price of a bigger tractor” says Satish Chandra.  “Likewise nursery operators and landscape contractors can enjoy a big usable bucket capacity for their materials handling”.

All Mahindra Tractors feature a factory 3 year / 2000 hour powertrain warranty as standard. Speak to your nearest dealer today 1300 696 244 or visit www.mahindra.com.au for more information.  Push More, Pull More, Lift More.
